Why I joined Stonewall Kickball DC: When I moved to DC in 20221, I didn’t know many people. I also didn’t have many opportunities to surround myself with other members of the LGBT+ community, and SKDC seemed like the perfect fit! Since joining the league, I have made lasting friendships, travelled across the country to play in the national tournaments, and even feel like I have learned a few things on the field. SKDC has given me the opportunity to meet so many people with diverse backgrounds, all of which have made me a better player on the field and a better person off the field.
