Why I joined Stonewall Kickball DC: I joined SKDC because I had some friends at the time that thought it would be fun. Throughout the years, I’ve experienced countless exhilarating moments, formed lifelong friendships, and witnessed personal growth on and off the field. The League has become more than just a place to compete; it has become a second home, a sanctuary where I find solace, purpose, and a sense of belonging. The camaraderie, the shared love for the game, and the sheer joy of being part of something greater than myself and the impact on all the lives in the nation’s capital have kept me rooted in the League for more than a decade, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
