Monkeypox

With the current spread of monkeypox within the DC area and beyond, we ask that players familiarize themselves with the CDC’s most up-to-date information about signs and symptoms, transmission, treatment, prevention, and isolation.

Vaccination Sign-Ups

For DC residents, please see the District’s Monkeypox Vaccination Sign-Up Page to see when the next available appointments will be released and to officially book your visit!

Quarantine Period After Diagnosis

All SKDC players are required to stay home from games and events while they are potentially infectious with monkeypox. As of July 11, 2022, the CDC states, “…Isolation precautions should be continued until all lesions have resolved, the scabs have fallen off, and a fresh layer of intact skin has formed.” If you are diagnosed with monkeypox, it is imperative that you follow all protocols prescribed by your medical provider and DC Health. While we know it’s frustrating to be in isolation away from the community, it is absolutely critical for everyone’s health and wellbeing that we reduce the risk of spread wherever possible so that others do not find themselves in your same situation. Thank you in advance!
